JC Gonzalez has been a fixture on the sidelines in the south Florida soccer community.  Coach Gonzalez has 10 years experience as a college head coach and 20 years combined coaching in the college and HS ranks.

JC Gonzalez was named the first men’s soccer coach in ASA Miami’s history in May of 2014. During ASA’s inaugural season, Gonzalez’s team upset nationally ranked No. 3 Eastern Florida State College 2-1. They would also tie them in another match during the season. 

Prior to joining ASA, Gonzalez served as the Women’s Soccer Assistant Head Coach at Johnson & Wales University program from 2011-2014. Before moving to the college ranks, Gonzalez served as the boy’s head soccer coach at Felix Varela High School from 2008-2011.  He was named the Miami Herald Dade County Boys High School Coach of the Year in 2009 & 2011. In 2011, Gonzalez led Varela to the State Championship game against Cypress Bay High School.

Before becoming the boy’s coach at Varela, Gonzalez served as the Director of Soccer at Archbishop Carroll HS from 2002-2008.  In 2006 he was named Miami Herald Dade County Girls High School Coach of the Year.

Gonzalez served 4 years as the Director of Coaching for SAA Real Madrid in Kendall, Fla. and served 6 years as the Director of Coaching for Key Biscayne Soccer Club.

He holds a C National License from the United States Soccer Federation (USSF).
